Good to hear from you Eric! I hope you and the family are all well. Unfortunately, I’ll be in the Aleutian Islands looking for some rare orchids. Keep in touch – David (Fielder)

Hallo, We will be delighted to join you on Wednesday. We are 2 persons. We have had Curio xyz installed for some time but never used it. Det ska bli trevligt att äntligen få tillfälle att träffa er och se trädgården. Jag, Leif, kom till Chiangmai precis när ni hade åkt till Sverige för tre år sedan. Tack för inbjudan. Vänligen Leif Ljungström

Dear Kate and Eric, Thanks a lot for invitation but we are staying now again in Paraguay so unfortunaly we Can not come to meat you at Dokmai Garden. By the way did any of the bamboo seeds grow up in Dokmai Garden? Have a nice time and recreative hollydays!

      Dear friends,

      Paraguay sounds awesome!

Since 2014 the plants of Dokmai Garden have endured the local monsoon climate without interfering irrigation, except for the vegetables.

That means many exotics from other climates have succumbed. Surviving bamboo species are therefore e.g. Dendrocalamus sericeus, Dendrcalamus brandisii, Dendrocalamus latiflorus, Bambusa vulgaris, Bambusa multiplex, Bambusa lako (!) and Thyrsostachys oliveri to name a few. Rain forest species and temperate species are mostly gone since they demand constant intensive care.

      Cheers, Eric
