Fast facts

February 1, 2011

This is blog no 300 since our start on March 7, 2010.

Yesterday night and today we had overcast and a few drops of rain, but altogether less than 0.5 mm. In the evergreen valley Mae Kanin Tai, 12 km from here, there was ‘a lot of rain’. This was the second rain in 2011. Earlier in January we got 4 mm. Many mangos are in blossom, so we hope they were not badly affected by the rain.

This morning we harvested the first cacao fruit from the ground. The flowers were out in June last year. It is now time to ferment the beans. We keep you posted.
