Regards from Kuala Lumpur

November 9, 2010

Kuala Lumpur may not be a green city nor a city hinting much about the Southeast Asian flora, but behind the awesome National Museum there is a very nice park and a bird zoo. Between the airport and the city are hardly anything but West African oil palm trees (Elaeis guineensis) or here and there some South American rubber trees (Hevea brasiliensis). These vast plantations might be a glimpse of the ‘forests’ of an even more overcrowded future Earth?
