Elizabeth Ann Buckleberry in blossom!

November 2, 2010

The fabulous epiphytic orchid Elizabeth Ann Buckleberry opened its unreal flowers two days ago. It is a hybrid between the Thai endemic species Bulbophyllum longissimum and B. rothschildianum from India. This hybrid is easy to care for, and has received an award from the American Orchid Society.

It is a prolific and splendid garden ornamental, and I happily announce we can sell a few small pseudobulbs of this attractive hybrid for 150 Baht each.

Welcome to Dokmai Garden!

The long appendix is composed of the side sepals.

The flowers are long!
