Other contributions to the photo contest 8. Uvaria grandiflora

August 22, 2010

Uvaria grandiflora (Annonaceae) is a Thai climber. It is normally red, but this threatened variety ‘flava’ from the evergreen forests of eastern Thailand has cream-coloured flowers. This picture, with a heavenly background,  was taken at Dokmai Garden by Mike See, Chiang Mai.
