Dr Piyakaset from the Queen Sirikit Botanical Garden

gives a talk entitled

“Plant diversity in N and NE of Thailand”

When: Sunday, May 16th, at 15.00.

Where: Dokmai Garden

Cost: 300 Baht, includes coffee, lecture, entrance to the garden and a guided tour where we discuss anything, and admire the recent orchid donation. In total, the garden has now 928  species and varieties of plants.

Cyperus rotundus (Cyperaceae) is now in blossom at Dokmai Garden. The tubers of this sedge have been used for making perfume and to treat fevers.
